ORAL PROPHYLAXIS

Oral prophylaxis is a professional dental cleaning procedure that removes plaque, tartar, and stains from both above and below the gum line.

It helps prevent gum disease, tooth decay, and bad breath, and is recommended every 6 months as part of routine oral care.

Benefits of oral prophylaxis:

  • Prevents gingivitis and periodontal disease

  • Keeps gums healthy

  • Maintains overall oral hygiene

DENTAL SEALANTS

Dental sealants are a protective coating applied to the chewing surfaces of the back teeth (molars) to prevent cavities.

They are especially useful for children and teenagers but can also benefit adults with deep grooves in their teeth.

Why sealants are recommended:

  • Act as a barrier against food and bacteria

  • Quick and painless application

  • Long-lasting protection from decay

FLUORIDE APPLICATION / VARNISH

Fluoride application involves applying a highly concentrated fluoride gel or varnish to the teeth to strengthen enamel and resist decay.

It is commonly done during dental visits, especially for children or those at high risk for cavities.

Benefits of fluoride treatments:

  • Strengthens tooth enamel

  • Helps reverse early signs of decay

  • Safe and effective preventive care
